RUSTY CLOYES - Production Manager & Technical Director
Rusty currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Theatre Technology at the UT Department of
Theatre & Dance. Earlier Production Management experience includes being the Assistant Production Manager at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Associate Production Manager at the American
Repertory Theatre in Boston, and Production Manager for the Seattle Shakespeare Company.
Before turning to Production Management, Rusty was a professional Stage Manager in Seattle
from 1991 to 2001. During that time, he also toured nationally and internationally, holding the
title of everything from properties master to audio engineer to technical director, with a band
of comedic jugglers called the The Flying Karamazov Brothers. Rusty holds an M.F.A. in Theatre
Technology from the University of Texas at Austin.

MICHELLE HABECK - Lighting Designer
Michelle, a long time Chicago resident, has a thriving freelance career as a lighting designer and her work has been seen at many of the nation's leading regional thetares including The Steppenwolf, The Goodman, The Alliance Theatre Company, Centerstage (Baltimore), The Court Theatre, Writer's Theatre, Lookingglass Theatre Company and many others. Ms. Habeck was the recipient of the prestigious NEA/TCG Career Development Grant for Design 2002-2004. Michelle holds an M.F.A. in Lighting and Scenic Design from Northwestern University and she is one of the newest members of the Theatre and Dance faculty at The University of Texas at Austin.

ESTHER MARQUIS - Costume Designer
Esther's designs have graced the stages of numerous American Theatres including The Globe Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, American Players Theater, Chatham Repertory Theater, Gloucester Stage Company, Shakespeare and Company, Tsai Center, and Boston. Esther has designed costumes and has been assistant costume designer for a number of Alley Theatre productions. In Austin, she has had the pleasure of designing for Austin Theater for Youth, Frontera Productions, and the UT Performing Arts Center. Esther was a guest designer for the University of Texas Department of Theatre and Dance world premiere of Robert Schenkkan's The Marriage of Miss Hollywood and King Neptune, and also designed Ridge Co. Requiem, a Carey Russell Film due for release in late 2007. She has an M.F.A. from Boston University.

DENISE MARTEL - Stage Manager
Denise is happy to be working with the talented local and guest artists that make up ARE. She has worked as a stage manager, technical director, production coordinator, designer, production manager and producer for plays, dance concerts and musicals throught her career. She is the Producing Director for the Department of Theatre and Dance at The University of Texas at Austin and enjoys mentoring young artists on their career paths in stage management, design and technology.
